I am the owner of Active Body Physical Therapy. I work as a physiotherapist as well as handling the managerial aspects of a private practice. My experience is focused in sports injuries, motor vehicle injuries, and back, neck and joint pain, as well as ergonomics and functional abilities evaluations. I have taken many post-graduate courses, some of which include McKenzie, Acupuncture, courses with A.P.T.E.I. (Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute), Chronic Pain, Level 2 Manual Therapy and University level business courses. I am very passionate about physiotherapy and I look forward to helping you feel better.

Myself and my husband JP are the owners of Active Body Physical Therapy. My role with the clinic is primarily on the business side. I worked at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital for 5 years and am currently doing home care physiotherapy for Community Care Therapy. In my career I have worked with a variety of populations and conditions including: pediatrics, geriatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiorespiratory, orthopaedics, and post-surgery. I have taken several post-graduate courses including McKenzie, Acupuncture, courses with A.P.T.E.I., Level 2 Manual Therapy, Karen Orlando's Balls, Bands and Balance and University level business courses. My primary area of interest is working with clients with osteoporosis. I enjoy the challenge of having to work on core stability, balance, strength and conditioning and falls prevention. I completed my MelioGuide to Stronger Bones, working with osteoporosis and osteopenia Level I Training Certification and hope to become more involved with osteoporsis projects in the future.

I have worked at Active Body Physical Therapy since graduating. My experience includes treatment of people suffering from sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, work related injuries, back neck and joint injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. I have also worked previously with neurological and in-patient orthopaedic populations. I have taken several post-graduate courses including McKenzie Part A and B, Karen Orlando’s Bands, Balls and Balance course, Chedoke-McMaster Course, a course in chronic pain, and hope to continue taking further post-graduate manual therapy courses. With my experience and continued dedication to learning, I hope to offer clients a physiotherapy program that will help them to achieve their goals.

My interest in Physiotherapy began around age 10, when I wrote an essay on how I would follow in my father's footstaps to become a Physiotherapist. In the eighteen years as a Physiotherapist I have had the privilege to work in an inpatient hospital setting and outpatient clinics, primarily in Orthopaedics. Together with my work experience and manual therapy courses, I look forward to offering clients an individualized treatment program tailored to their needs.

Jeremy is the newest physiotherapist to join the dynamic team at ABPT. He has previous experience treating orthopedic injuries sustained from work, motor vehicle accidents, and sports injuries. Jeremy is a graduate of the Human Kinetics program at the University of Windsor and the Physical Therapy program at The University of Western Ontario. His clinical interests are in the rehabilitation of sports related knee and shoulder injuries. Jeremy has taken several post graduate courses ranging from acupuncture to manual therapy. He continues to advance his knowledge through regular attendance at workshops and weekend courses.

Specializing in functional capacity evaluations, job site analysis, post offer screens, ergonomic assessments and facilitating work hardening programs that leads to return to work. In addition, Saverio has been training young athletes since 2002 to higher levels of performance through advanced sport testing protocols and program design.

Patrick was born and raised in Tecumseh Ontario, and has been working within the rehabilitation setting since the age of 15. He began working on his degree in 2003 at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. While attending Grand Valley he was a member of the universities rowing team as well as the ski & snowboard team. He returned to the University of Windsor in 2005 to finish his Human Kinetics degree. His interests lie in the areas of sports therapy/conditioning and ergonomics.

Michelle was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Windsor in 2002. She graduated from CCHST in May 2006 and successfully passed the registration exams in June 2006. She then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where she worked as a Massage Therapist for 9 months, before returning to Windsor and joining the team at Active Body in April 2007. Michelle is very passionate about client care and the healing process massage therapy can offer.

Katie graduated from the Canadian College of Health Science and Technoly in June of 2007. However, she delayed writing her board exams due to her involvement in the sport of amatuer boxing. While Katie whole-heartedly pursued excellence in the sport, her educatoin went un-used. However, it was not a total waste. Katie claimed four national titles, four pan-american titles, and was a two-time world bronze medalist. In the summer of 2009 she finally wrote and passed her board exams, and is now loving her position as a registered massage therapist at Active Body Physical Therapy. Her hobbies include running and biking, but her heart will always belong to boxing.

I started working in the Physiotherapy world in 2001 at CBI Physiotherapy where I first met JP when he started as a new grad from Queen's University. I was very impressed by JP's enthusiasm and how he sincerely cared for his patients. I therefore decided to venture on with JP and Sherri when they opened Active Body Physical Therapy in 2003. We have worked together now for approx 8 yrs and I look forward to many more with Sherri and JP.
I have a wonderful husband named Owen, and two adorable children named Alexa and Ethan.

My name is Tanya Fick. I was born and raised in Maidstone, Ontario. I have two sisters one of whom is my identical twin. I married Scott Fick in 2001 and have two children a Son and a Daughter.
I am a business graduate from St. Clair College and was in the Administration role for 10 years prior to my decision to stay at home while my children were in their Pre-School years.
I recently joined Active Body Physical Therapy and am pleased and excited to be a part of such a great team.
