This technique focuses on the connective tissue and deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes, manipulation of the connective tissue and deep pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia. This technique causes a feeling of tension release for the day or two following but may cause some soreness during or right after the massage.
